Bunnies and dogs?

Hello r/Pets, I'm hoping someone here could help me.

Is it possible to socialize a bunny with a dog? I was recently asked to take a bunny from a friend-of-a-friend. This person bought the bunny as a gift for their children, but the children are not taking proper care and it is being neglected. I would love to take him, and I'm happy to do research into the actual care of a bunny, however I have a young Shiba Inu (1.5 years) and I'm worried he would scare the bun to death, literally. My dog does very well around very small dogs and mostly just ignores cats, but has never been around bunnies. I would keep them separate if need be but he does have a way of getting into things he's not supposed to. Shiba trickery. I don't think he would hurt the poor bunny but shibas do have a high prey drive, so I suppose he could surprise me. But like I said I'm mostly worried that the bunny won't want to be near the dog or will die from fright. Thoughts? Please be nice, I'm doing my best not to jump into a new pet blindly.
