First let me say I am definitely going to take my dog to the vet to get this checked out - no need to advise me to do that. I’m just curious if anyone else has encountered something similar.
For a couple of days now, my three year old kelpie cross has been showing a bit of a limp, but only when she gets up from having laid still for a while. After she’s been up and about for a few minutes, the limp gradually disappears and she seems perfectly fine. I can’t see any kind of wound or bruise on her paw, and she doesn’t seem to be in pain even while she’s limping - it’s almost as though her leg has just stiffened up while she was lying down and exercise sets it right again.
Anyone had anything similar with one of their pets, or have any idea what the problem might be? I plan to make a vet appointment tomorrow, but anything you can give me to think about in the meantime would be appreciated. (Last time I took her to the vet was because she wasn’t holding her tail right and it turned out to be because my cat had bitten her and it got infected - hoping this one isn’t another cat bite!!)
