In desperate need of help. My 2 cats who used to get along perfectly now can’t even look at each other without hissing and going at it. I’m currently locked in my room with one cat because when I leave the other smells the first cat and tries to attack me.

Saturday night something happened between the two, don’t know what but they started fighting and I separated them with separate food/water bowls. The litter box is in my room and I don’t have another litter box so I’ve been switching the cats every few hours between my bedroom and the rest of the house. Now I was thinking in a day or so things would be back to normal, but nope. This morning they fought and I read you aren’t supposed to let them “fight it out” so I tried my best to get one cat out of the room and was able to.

Tonight when trying to switch the cats I barely open my door and the other cat not in my bedroom instantly starts hissing and howling so it sets off the bedroom cat and I have to close the door so the other one doesn’t run in. Now I also wanted a new beer so I barely opened the door a crack and squeezed out. But the cat not in the bedroom started hissing at me and following me like he was gonna attack me! I kind of fast walked to the fridge, grabbed a beer and fast walked back to my room and shut the door quickly but now I’m trapped and kind of nerve wracked by him.

What the heck do I do?! If I can’t even pick him up to take him to the vet I’m at a loss. Not to mention I’m supposed to be moving to a new place this weekend. I haven’t even packed anything yet so a move isn’t disrupting his behavior yet but I’m really at a loss.
