Maybe this isn't the place to post this as it's kinda stupid and may not have an answer, but it's 6am and this is on my mind since it happened earlier.
My cat is very attached to me; always wanting to be close, climbing onto my chest when I'm chilling in bed, usually sleeping on my pillow above my head when I turn in.
However, when I have a close friend over (two in particular), he ignores me and is just all over the friend—not that either friend minds, they both delight in it.
I was just wondering if there was an actual explaination. Like, he isn't like that with any of my family members, just those friends. Anyone else experience this? Is it just interest in someone new and friendly?
Dumb question, I know, but it's always baffled me.
