I hate "my" dog

My family recently got another dog because my sister and dad wanted one. We now have 2 dogs and 2 cats.

I am leaving for college in a few months. I didnt want to get attached to this dog so that it wont be hard to say goodbye. I'm already attached to the other 3 pets cuz we've had them for so long.

I never say goodbye to him when I leave the house but I do to the other pets. I dont walk unless I'm the only one home him cuz hes not my dog. I dont let him out of the cage when I'm the only one on the floor with him cuz I dont want to have to stop what I'm doing to follow him where ever he goes to make sure hes not doing something. He is not my responsibility.

Now this dog, like all others, is a good boy. Hes also pretty smart (learnt tons of tricks really quick). Ths only real reason I should have to dislike him is that hes energetic and because of that hes broke one of my things (punctured 2 holes in a dnd board as he ran across it).

I dont hate him cuz of that tho, I'm just pissed about it. However, over time, I've just started liking him less and less. I dont have an actual reason for hating him, I just do.

I just had a conversation with my parents where they said that I am mean to the dog and that its rude of me to hate him etc.

Also, side thing that I hate about this, my parents and sister get pissed whenever I call him "your dog" or "(sister)s dog". They always get mad and say that hes a family dog and that hes part of the family. However I dont consider him family and hes not my dog. I didnt care if we got him and I'd be glad If we got rid of him.

Am I wrong for hating this dog?
