My mom's friend has this adorable kitten and I've never had a pet in my life. I do want to adopt, but it has to wait until next year for a couple of reasons. In the meanwhile, I'm at home and I have nothing to do, so I offered to petsit the kitten when the owner told my mom that she had a wedding coming up. She replied that the kitten has fleas and they're taking it to the vet to get them removed. She didn't say anything about the petsitting part, but my mom and I are pretty sure it's not a good idea, even if the vet has treated the little guy. My mom's worried that there still might be fleas on the kitten which could get into nooks and crannies of the furnishing. Are we right or is it actually safe to have the kitten around?
