So about two years ago we adopted an Indian stray from this pet festival called adoptathon ( he was about 4 months old at the time ). We've loved him ever since and provide him with everything a happy doggo would need including treats, toys and a doggy bed which he uses. We also give him ample attention and spend time with him. We've provided him with a kennel in our compound so he also isn't enclosed in a small space since our compound is pretty large and he's free to run around. However since the past 6 months, he's started running out the compound gate at every single chance he gets......we don't want to tie the dog down and we can't always guard the gates. Some times he'll be back after a couple of hours somedays he won't come back at all. He comes back tired and with infections and wounds. What do we do? We love him dearly but don't know if he wants a life with us.
