Tl;dr new Guinea pig is very aggressive towards the og 3.
I took on my boyfriends sisters pig since she decided she couldn't care for her anymore.
I have 3 pigs; one smooth and 2 nakeds. They have a two tier giant cage with a hay loft and ramps and houses. Lots of room for 3.
The new pig has been alone her whole life (3 years) not handled or cared for much. She had been in a busy house with many people and dogs and cats.
I introduced everyone on day 2 of her being in the house. Neutral area with a new blanket with no smells. Newbie immediately attacked the other 3. There was generally a lot of posturing, humping, nipping, and spraying as the hierarchy was established but the newbie was crazy aggressive and biting. She got some good chunks out of the naked ones.
I built a third tier on the mansion so theres more space for 4. It's been 3 months and she has not left the top level. She seems content up there. She eats and drinks and visits when I walk by but no interest in going down the ramp to visit with the others. I've put her on the ramp so she knows it's there and can use it. The others have no interest in her.
She attacks and bites if they come anywhere near her. They go outside now that its warm for grass grazing and she will lunge and bite them if they come near. Even carrying them outside she bites.
I'm cool with her just living in the penthouse alone if that seems ok. Is there another approach I should take to get them comfortable with eachother? Or is she just destined to be loner?
