Ok, long story short, somebody I knew bought an iguana from a pet store and wasn't prepared for the size this thing would become. Idk how old it is nor officially how big it is (I've only seen pictures, haven't seen it in person) but the poor thing was definitely being kept in too small of a tank for it's size. I have a few pets myself and this person knew I loved animals so he asked me if I could take the iguana off his hands. I've done some bare bones research since then (yes, obviously I'm planning on doing more) but I agreed since I just can't deny giving an animal a proper (or at least better) care. The issue is apparently iguanas are one of those specialized pets that only like really extreme animal lovers tend to get. They require huge cages (often if not entirely home made) with the proper environment. I'm getting this lizard tomorrow night and I straight up don't have the time or resources to make a proper cage that soon. Does anyone have any suggestions for ways to give this lizard a semi-proper environment while I work on getting a proper enclosure made? Believe me, if I wanted an iguana and planned on getting one, this enclosure would've been bought, built, and basically inspected like a week ago and I'd have done enough research to give a college lecture on these things. This is very last minute and I'm just desperate for some advice ASAP. Thanks in advance!
