Our 4 year old mix was home alone while I took her brother to the vet. As soon as I got home, she started retching quite a bit. I looked around to see if she had gotten into anything, but nothing looked out of place. Since then, she’s been retching a few times every hour and only very rarely actually produces anything, and even then it is just some white foam. She ate her full dinner, drank water, went on a walk and pooed, and overall has no other behavior changes.
Her abdomen is not expanded as would be expected with bloat, her gums are healthy pink, her energy is good. Throughout the night, she slept OK but woke up maybe once an hour to continue the retching. Any ideas what could have happened for the hour I was out to cause these symptoms?
