A few days ago I went to the spca and saw this beautiful puppy with such an out going personality. He stood out from all the other shy babies and I thought that it was a sign that he was the one for me. I still haven’t found a name for him yet and with my other pets I knew their name within a few minutes of having them. (I’m a big believer in signs and meaning in the little things and not having a name for him made me feel some type of way, i dont know what, just not good) I have a feisty chihuahua, and a shy skittish cat who are 5 and 1. So obviously I know that at first, the older pets wouldn’t like the new guy hanging around but it breaks my heart and getting my chihuahua used to another dog seems doable but he’s bigger than her and in the past she doesn’t care for bigger dogs AT ALL. Then my cat... my sister tells me that they aren’t good with change and I see that. He’s not a kitten anymore so it won’t be easy to have him get along with the new guy. Older pets aside, I’m losing my patience with this baby. “He is just a puppy and he’ll grow out of his teething phase and He’ll be potty trained soon” it’s all I keep repeating in my head but it’s beginning to be a little overwhelming. How do I keep my patience? I don’t want to take him back to the spca, I want this to work so bad guys. Can y’all give me some tips or advice on making all my furry babies friendly with one another? Or to keep a level head? Thanks guys.
