i've had him from a neighbor. he's in our home for almost 2 years, but never really did anything with, since they said if he flies outside he's gonna smash into walls and die. actually, i had another, but he died recently. 1 upvote = 1 prayer... so i went to an animal store to see if i could buy 1. and then a worker who had a parakeet said we could familiarize with him (open the cage, talk with him, you know) before. so i opened the cage, tried different techniques but he's just way too scared. i put some budgie food on my hand and put my hand into the cage, but he just tries to get as far as possible. how do i fix this?
