I've a female cat aged 6 and a male cat aged 2 with whom the female cat doesn't get along. Our female cat never peed outside her litter box until 2017 when we adopted the male cat, Since then she has been regularly urinating outside her litter box. We tested her for UTI but the test was negative. We changed our old sofa with the hope that she might stop once there is no smell of her pee on the sofa but it started again. We've no idea what to do now and parents are thinking of giving both of them away as the house stinks of cat piss.
