How do I keep my cat isolated post surgery?

I have this old dog crate that seemed like it would be big enough, but I don’t think I can comfortably get a litter box in there. Tried using a smaller baking pan as a substitute and she pawed at it and peed on the floor in confusion. With the bed and food/water, there’s not much room left, and I don’t know how to keep her contained like that for 10-14 days.

Also, she managed to turn her cone inside out. I’m cool with it at the moment, but I’m worried about when the incision starts itching.

Last but not least, I forgot to ask the vet, but how will I know if she’s in pain and needs her meds?
