My rescue kitty is happy.

Lucky is a small, black cat. When I adopted him he was about eight months old. People who know cats know that black cats tend to sit in shelters forever, and adult cats have it much worse than kittens. He came into my house skittish, fearful, and malnourished.

In the two years he’s been with me, he’s gone from being afraid of everything to being a curious and spirited little imp.

It happened so slowly I didn’t really notice the change, but tonight when he came up to me in bed and curls up to sleep I was suddenly reminded of the terrified little ball or ratty fur and hurt that he was when he first came here.

Adopt your animals people. You’ll change their lives, and they’ll probably change yours too.
