Sadly we have to say goodbye to our sweet 16yo kitty tomorrow. According to the vet she most likely is having some heart issues and the medicine hasn't perked her up, her edema has reduced but she's obviously weak and suffering, won't eat, not even her favorite wet food.
What should we do about her sister? They've been together their whole lives, we adopted them together, they've moved house to house together, and I can't imagine there only being one. Today as I snuggle our sweet girl in my lap her sister is sticking close by. But they've never been close, they don't cuddle or play together, this is the most affection I can remember seeing from them. I'm worried my other girl will be hurt or confused. I also worry I'm pushing some of my sadness onto this poor surviving cat!
What do you do when pet pairs are suddenly separated by the rainbow bridge?
