My 9 year old cat, that have been living outside for 5 years, just recently came home and looked very bad... sometimes he would come by our house and we would feed him and try to get him inside, but he always preferred to live outside. Anyway a couple of days ago he just all of a sudden came inside and have been sleeping and eating here, we noticed a large bald spot in his fur that have been growing larger and larger, not only that but he has a very swollen belly and is drooling a lot too. We immediately noticed that something was wrong, so we took him to the vet and was told that he has an incurable decease and that it would be best to put him down as soon as possible both because he's in pain and also because he could infect our other cat. So it's supposed to happen tomorrow morning but he really wants to go outside, we don't know if we should because of the possibility of him not coming back and laying somewhere and freezing to death... he also doesn't seem to be in that much pain since he can meow eat and walk. We don't know what to do, we just want the best for him?? Can someone give some advice?
