Good morning everyone. We rescued a 3 year old cat from the humane society a year ago, and she was the most pleasant cat ever. The wife wanted to rescue another cat (3 years old), so she went and got another one.
Our older cat does not like this new cat in the house, and freaks out whenever she even smells him. We take turns locking one in our bedroom at night (so they don't fight). When I try to bring him close to the older cat, he shakes and tries to squirm out of my grasp. We tried to use some feline spray, but both cats are just high strung and wild.
Is this a long process, or are we introducing them wrong?
