So yeah. I have a 4 year old, indoor female cat, who has gotten into the horrendous habit of using my bed and sofa as an alternative to the litter tray when it is not in pristine condition, and lately it’s getting horrendous. She poos and pees on both pieces of furniture, and it’s getting to the point where I don’t want to leave her alone in the apartment because I know she’s just going to do it again.
I always keep on top of the litter, I clean it out daily, or even more often sometimes if necessary. She’s just gotten into this habit of not using it if it isn’t completely clean.
How can I discourage this behaviour? Is there any kind of spray or something I can leave on my bed and sofa that would put her off? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
