My awesome wife surprised me today with a new kitten!
We have an 8 year old dog who sleeps in our bedroom (floor not bed), and while they are getting to know each other, it's probably best that they don't sleep in the same room.
We've set up my office to be kitten-proof (he's 4 months old), and he's got everything set up in there.
My, probably silly, question is this: is it necessary to have one of us sleep in the same room with him while he and the dog have to be separated, or would we be fine leaving him alone through the night?
