[HELP] Struggling with yellow labs aggression.

Hello members of r/pets! So, I have a very special 8 year old yellow lab. She is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever had, and I feel so lucky every day to be her new mommy! I recently rescued her from a neglectful family because they wanted to put her down. When I met her she had so much life left in her, and I HAD to have her because putting her down would have been a shame. The first week I had her, she did not show any aggression towards other dogs. She always seemed weary of them, but she didn’t lunge at them, or act out. As of recent, she has been particularly aggressive towards other dogs. So much so that I have to time out when we take our walks in fear that we will run into other dogs. I’m not willing to re-home her because I’m a firm believer that behavior can be fixed, and if I can fix something, I will. I am extremely disappointed in her behavior, and I’m hoping you guys could give me some tips or tricks to try and combat it step by step. Thank you so much!
