Is it okay to give your cat only dry food?

I was recommended Royal Canin dry food (only) for my 1-year-old cat by my vet. We have previously been giving him a combination of wet and dry up until now and I am weary to switch only to dry as my cats favourite bit currently is his wet food.

I was surprised to hear wet food could be eliminated and recommended as I was always under the impression that a combination was best - however I do trust my vet, but also wanted to ask my fellow cat peeps!

Thanks!!! 😸
