Whether it's a cat or a dog, they will come up to me and if I try to pet them they will lick my hand for an uncomfortable amount of time. This has happened with over 5 different animals. Even if I enter a home with a group of strangers to the animal they will go straight for my hand and not do this to any of the others. It's not like a couple licks either. It's just constant laps like I'm a lollipop or something. Their owners usually have to call them away or put them in another room. It has gone on with a dog for nearly 10 minutes once. He just did not tire of licking my hand and when I tried to hide my hands from him he went for my exposed ankle. Is there something in my diet that would cause me to be tasty to them? Are they detecting cancer or something? I need advice because this is really embarrassing when I visit people with pets.
