I have an 7 year old female cat that has been going to her litter box way more than usual. Like every 10 mins, she just sits there and nothing happens. She doesn't seem to be in pain, and her behaviour outside of that is normal. She'll leave and groom herself, play, cuddle, then right back to the box.
We have 2 other cats in the house.
We called a clinic, and they told us to monitor her and to add some fiber to her diet (metamucil). So far they are ruling out a blockage since this very rarely affects females, and comes with obvious signs of distress.
It's been 2 days and this is starting to weird me out. I have no idea if the issue is physical or behavioral. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
