My cat is a rescue and we got her at about 5 months. She is now about 8 months old. Since we got her, she does a terrible job cleaning her butt. She's doing better, but she just doesn't clean her butt right away. She'll walk around with a dirty butt for hours, so I have to put her in the bathroom till she cleans it because she likes to rub her butt on paper or carpet instead of cleaning it, or wipe it with a wet wipe. Our older cat cleans herself super well and I was hoping she would teach the kitten, but that isn't happening. The litter box gets cleaned every day, so I know it isn't because it's dirty. I've tried spraying her butt with catnip, but she still won't clean it. When we mentioned it at the vet, they said they had never heard of a cat doing that before. Please, help!
