I would like to start with a thank you to everyone who has been following the updates for patches, he isn’t going anywhere!
We have one litter box for patches upstairs and an extra one downstairs. He adjusted to it very quickly, but there was still some marking.
My mom and step dad decided to get a camera to record the upstairs living room and downstairs as well for about a week, and it turns out it was just my step dads cat marking at night, and patches didn’t have anything to do with it within the week and a half we had the camera up. We still have the cameras up just in case, but so far patches has had nothing to do with the marking.
With this, patches isn’t going anywhere!! I’m very happy that I’m able to keep patches, but the issue with my step dads cat is still present, and we’re working to solve it. She’s a very old cat and has a very hard time adjusting to things so we don’t know how long we’re going to have to work at this, but we’re not going to give up on our cats :) thank you everybody who offered advice, it really has helped us out!
