how to cope with this

My boyfriend of 4 years decided to end things with me this week. What’s hurting me the most is that he’s keeping the dog. I know the dog is in his name but i really did care for the dog as if it was my baby and now, i don’t even get to have her in my life anymore too. How do i cope with this? it’s breaking my heart
