I have a big puppers I adopted from a shelter almost 2yrs ago. The thing is she is super anxious around strangers, so it's a battle to get her groomed. In fact last time I took her they wouldn't touch her because they were worried about how scared she was. I would like to start grooming her myself but I have zero experience. Does anyone know of some easy SAFE inexpensive clippers and grinders I could buy and where to find them? Any tips? My groomer told me to have her sedated by a vet but I refuse to drug my pup like that without a medical reason. I have tried multiple groomers, the ones who are patient and kind can usually work with her but then other groomers make comments about time is money blahblahblah and they don't finish. So I would rather try myself. Thank you. INFO: My baby is a 2yr old 78lb. female. She is a mix of Collie, Spaniel and possible Newfie. She is black and white with black claws (which is why I'm afraid to use clippers.) We live in a small apartment, so not room for a grooming area. After I bathe her I "attempt" to trim her fur in my living room. Shes a little stubborn and doesn't like being messed with lol.
