My Sisters Cat is embarrassed by me

Alright so my (21 y/o)sister adopted a ( y/o) cat/kitten. She’s a pretty large and puffy mainecoon/tabby mix and her name is Malory. Malory is very vocal and will have a conversation with you, even meow loudly if she wants or attention(or doesn’t). She is sure to make sure her needs are met. My sister and Malory live with my dad in another state and I came to visit during this vivid crisis. When I first got here Malory was all over me, sleeping on my back or next to me. Jumping on my lap when I called out to her. About a week ago me and my sister got into a disagreement where we didn’t talk for a few days. We happily made up because we are very close but now it seems Malory is embarrassed by me. She doesn’t come to me like she used to. She used to always let me rub her bellow but now she only allows me to do it when no one else is around and she rrreeeeeaaaallllyyyyyyy loves belly rubs(so odd). I was wondering if this is all in my head? Or if Malory knows me and her owner got in a disagreement and is being distant in front of others because of this
