Tonight's been a weird night; I posted about this earlier in the rescue cats subreddit but didn't get responses since it's not an active sub. I hope this post isn't breaking any rules. I was on a walk maybe half a mile away from my house and this very thin, very young-looking cat walked up to me to be petted. He has his testicles. I'm not a good judge of age but he looks like he's not an adult yet in his face. I carried him back to my apartment and put out food and he frantically started eating without stopping. I already have a cat (female, a little over a year old, spayed) and I put her in the other room during all this. On my previous post, I was feeling so sad for him that I was thinking of finding ways to keep him but I realize even keeping him inside my apartment for one night could be bad as I'd need to keep him in the bathroom to keep him separated from my cat, and there's the risk of him spreading diseases to my cat or spraying in the apartment. So I put a soft cat carrier with a blanket and food out on my balcony and he's been sleeping there ever since. I think the best course of action would be to see if I can get him to a vet to treat any diseases and try helping him get a forever home but I've never done this before (my cat has been an indoor cat all her life and isn't a rescue) so I could use any advice y'all can give me. Thank you
