Introducing a dog and cat

Hello I need all the help I can get. We just got a new eight week old kitten. When we tried to introduce her to our dog, who is VERY playful, it got quite wild and they were stuck in a quarrel and 3 minutes was more than enough. Our kitten is in our basement away from our dog, but I’m worried. How can I introduce a playful dog to a young kitten who is already quite afraid. Thank you for all help. 🐾🐾
