I have a 15 year old cat. Shes been constipated for a month. I made an appointment a couple days after I noticed. Had to wait a week. When the day came, they canceled that for the next week, and said shed be fine as long as shes able to go. She could, but she was just straining. When I finally went to the vet, they put her on wet food. Tried that for a while. Didnt work. Took her back to the vet, so they gave her some fluids, and told me to give her pumpkin. That was yesterday. Anyways, its 11 pm. She was trying to go in the litter box, and was straining. I looked at her anus, and I could see a piece of poo sticking out. After a great seconds, she gave up. I was gonna see if there was a vet on call, but as the phone was ringing, I noticed a poop on the ground, so I think it fell out while she was walking? Not sure. Shes acting normal, but should I be worried? Is this an emergency?
