My family owns six siamese cats. These cats are mostly from the same bloodline and they used to get along well.
We have these two adult male cats named Muffin and Donut, Donut is the father of Muffin, and they used to get along with each other, but lately all they do is fight with each other. Right now, whenever Muffin sees Donut he hisses and Donut will fight him.
And we have an adult female cat named Cookie, and she is angry at her father named Oreo, she used to get along with him but after she gave birth to her own kittens, she's always trying to attack Oreo whenever she sees him. However, she's really nice to other male cats. She's only aggressive towards Oreo and we do not know why. Her kittens are four months old now and she doesn't care about the kittens anymore so we gave them to the trusted people we know who want to take care of the kittens. Cookie is doing fine and doesn't mind it but she's still mad at Oreo.
All of our cats used to get along with each other. Why are they fighting now?
It's been a month and a half now and in order to prevent fights, we try to separate them and we switch them every few hours. This is not an effective solution because we have to constantly switch them between the kitchen, living room or bedroom and we always have to be sure that they don't see each other.
Our other cats are chill, It's just Donut vs. Muffin + Cookie vs. Oreo who are specifically mad at each other, They are okay with the other cats.
Why are they mad at each other? What can we do to solve this problem?
