I have had rabbits in the past and really enjoyed having them.
I was thinking of either getting a few rabbits or getting a chinchilla (or maybe a ferret or a hedgehog, open to hearing about any of these).
My main concern is:
- cost of food
- how much work it is
- how often I must clean the cage (how dirty they tend to be)
- what things they need (does a chinchilla need more than a rabbit or need anything specific?)
- do they need a friend (rabbits do better in pairs - do chinchillas?)
Answers seem to vary on the internet so I'd rather ask someone with experience.
