7yr old fixed male cat randomly started being sexually aggressive towards our 4yr old fixed female cat

We've had Elvis (male) since he was born. January 1st of this year we adopted a 3-4yr old girl (Champagne) who'd been fixed as well. We did the proper introductions and they started getting along phenomenally after about a week of her being there. They played all the time and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

Approximately 2 weeks ago however, Elvis started trying to mount Champagne and was biting her on the neck, thighs, sniffing and swatting at her hind legs whenever she walks by, and it causes her to hiss at him, or when he bites, she howls and bats at him before running away. He'll follow her and harass her until I step in and separate them.

I'm not sure what's caused this suddenly, but I was wondering if anyone had this happen as well.
