Hi, does anyone have experience dealing with legal issues against breeders? I bought my toy poodle puppy, Chester, from an online breeder from craigslist 2 days ago.
When I brought him home that night, he was extremely lethargic, weak, and had diarrhea.
The next day, I took him to the vet and he tested positive for parvovirus with an extremely small chance of survival and we unfortunately had to put him down.
Within 24 hours of getting him, he had passed away..
All I have is the phone number and car model of the breeder, recorded text messages of the transaction with the breeder (paid in cash and met at a neutral location) on my phone, vet diagnosis of Chester’s condition, and documentation of expenses from the vet and animal hospital
If anyone knows anything about how I can approach this situation, please help. My heart breaks for these animals that are being abused by breeders and puppy mills.
