A few months ago i moved my 11-year-old cat Tulip out of my parents’ house, where she had lived basically her whole life, to a smaller house with just me. She had made it clear that she didn’t like living my family’s other cats, and when she got to her new house she completely opened up—got more affectionate, friendlier, she literally purred for the first like 3 days straight. After that she would frequently purr when I pet her and over little things and seemed extremely content.
However, a few days ago had to move into a studio apartment with her. She has barely purred the entire time. She doesn’t roll around on the floor like she used to at her last house, and just seems kind of sad, or at least less happy.
What can I do to make her happy again?? I feel so terrible for taking her away from this house that she clearly loved and was very happy in and putting her in a small studio. Any help would be really appreciated, I love her to death and just want her to be happy.
