About two weeks ago or so, I noticed that my cat has these scabs on her ears. they're right in the front corner, on the outside of her ears. Two scabs on each ear, almost exactly the same positions. When we noticed it was starting to get bad, we took her to the vets. The vet we saw decided it was probably just harvest mites and she'd probably be fine once she had her next dose of Stronghold Spot On. It cost us about £39 for this consultation. fast forward to now, i've been checking her ears frequently, and I also noticed there's now a scab on the bottom of her chin as well. I haven't found anything much about this online really despite hours of searching, but I know she's still scratching at it all. Talking to a friend, we concluded it might be wise to put a cone on her until it heals, but I found a post on here about something similar with someone else'a cat scratching her scabs, and people were suggesting going to the vets for skin scrapes or cell samples. I'd love to go to the vets right this minute if I could, but my mom isn't overly concerned at the moment and probably doesn't want to spend another £39. I'm a little bit short of options, but does anyone else have some advice? I'm a first time cat owner and I honestly can't find anything like this online so I'm entirely clueless.
