One of my cats suddenly lost about 3 lbs, or almost a third of her total weight. She is 11, so older, but my extremely old. She's eating, drinking, peeing, pooping, and behaving completely normally. We took her to the vet and they did bloodwork. She does not have diabetes, hypothyroidism, or kidney failure. They gave us a dewormer but nothing seemed to happen. I'd assume that with weight loss that extreme she'd have an infestation bad enough to see passed worms in her feces. What else should we ask to have checked?
