Boyfriend volunteered at an animal shelter last Thursday, now we can't get rid of fleas even though we don't have any pets

Hi!

I know this is not the best place to post this but I just don't know where. We really need help.

My boyfriend helped out at an animal shelter last week and the next day we were both covered in flea bites, his entire back is covered in them. We vacuumed and washed our clothes, bed sheets and pillow cases but we are still getting bit. We don't have money to call a professional to help us. Can you guys give us any advice?
