Adopted a dog today, she’s so sweet and cuddly, but a little anxious. When I got home with her two of my three roommates were home, they had nice slow introductions and it went very smoothly. My last roommate didn’t get home until hours later, and then they got off to a bad start because he stretched his arms above his head and it scared her. She started barking, he got nervous about it, now we’ve had him give her a ton of treats and she’ll let him pet her and sit by her. But at first she also barked when he stood up which she hasn’t done with any of the rest of us. I should’ve had them all be at home so she would meet them on their territory, I’m so fucking stupid, I’m scared I ruined everything. Yes she’s a bit better with him now but she’s still markedly less comfortable than with the rest of us and I’m scared we’ll lose progress and my roommate will hate me. I love this dog so much and I just want her to like all of us. I’m really hoping that she’ll get used to him quickly now that he’s home and will be all weekend???
