Hi, so I have to take a quick and crucial decision within less than one week and here is the context : I will be moving out soon with my family, and we had a cat for the past 10 years (we still do have him). So the thing is that the current flat where we live has a yard where our cat used to go out really often, meet his other cat friend, go to neighbor’s house (where they almost adopted him) and live his life in total security. Now, there is no yard where we are going to move, which means that our cat will be forced to stay inside.
Now you can see where this is going: should we take him with us or leave him to the neighbors ?
Here are the points: If we take him with us I am afraid that he is going to be depressed due to loneliness (no other cat) and being deprived from the outside world and nature. But if we leave him to the neighbors he will feel abandoned by us and come to our door and meow as he always do, except this time, the door won’t open.
Both solutions breaks my heart, what should I do ?
