My dog (11 y/o German Shepherd) was diagnosed with anemia after suddenly becoming lethargic and breathing rapidly. He was put on prednisone on Thursday but is still lethargic and breathing very rapidly. He’s still eating and drinking (although his appetite has decreased) and going to the bathroom.
Has anyone else had an anemic dog on prednisone? How long did it take for you to see improvement?
