Cat will not use puzzle feeder. Is she picky or is it something else?

Hello all,

I got a puzzle feeder for my cat for a couple reasons. Mostly to control her weight, as she started gaining unnecessary weight, as well as an attempt to stop her from "caching" her food.

When I go to work, i give her more food than i usually do, so that she can have it throughout the day. But more often than not I'd come back to a flipped food bowl and dry food everywhere. So i read a puzzle feeder may help with that.

Now I've got one and filled it. She took a few bites out of it and is coming back to me like she's hungry. I put a tiny bit of food into her old bowl and she went right to it.

Is she just being overly picky about her food bowl? Should i wait it out and wait for her to get used to it? Or is there something i should be doing better?
