Help please

I'll keep it quick. A few minutes ago, while neither me nor my parents were looking, our dog Leo, a German shepherd, ate a piece of pumpkin pie with chocolate syrup on top that my brother was about to eat. Google says it's not fatal but can result in illness. Should we do anything?
