Should I buy a cat

I live in an apartment.

The apartment allows dogs and cats

I have two 🐹 hamsters but I'll make sure the cat does not eat them(not a concern quite a big apartment)

Also can you please suggest a breed that has higher temperament but not too expensive

Also can you give guidelines for caring for a cat(Food, how often must I feed, what stuff should I not give etc.)

I would buy a dog but then they are harder to maintain and I feel like it's not worth the trouble imo but it's not completely off table in fact if I did not live in an apartment it was a definite choice
