Hello, this is my first time posting but I am very worried:
I have a seven year old female Rottweiler that drastically lost weight and is losing hair in some patches. Certain areas of her skin (wrist, ankle, hips, brisket/underbelly and other isolated areas) look kind of scaly--like they hardened but the texture is quite normal. I can send photos of her skin, but I am new to posting on here so am really clueless on how to attach pictures. She usually stays in a cemented and gated area, and I believe this to be the cause of some "hardened" skin, so we let her out occasionally to roam in our backyard. This does not explain the weight and hair loss though. She does not seem to act sick/weak or have lost her appetite (she's quite active) and does not have loose stool/vomit, nor does she have fleas. Additionally, she has also been dewormed.
My family would take her to the vet if we could, but because of the pandemic in my area, it's not safe to bring our dog nor do we know anyone who does house calls. Please help, do I need to worry? TYIA
