So basically in August, Memé (the mother cat) gave birth to 4 kittens, one everything was perfect, one of them died because of 20 stray dogs that came in our yard, heartbroken as i was, everything was still going perfectly, mother was feeding her kittens, cuddling, all of that, when we noticed that she stopped breastfeeding them, we asked the vet if we could neuter her (this was her second litter and she is pretty young, we already have 7 cats), he said that we should wait a lil, do some tests and then we could do it. We did it, the first days she would scream at everyone touching her, obviously because of the wound and stress, but after those days she would start loving and taking care of the kittens like everytime. Time passes a bit and she started acting a lil weird with them, she would start grooming them and all of a sudden she would slap them softly and she would walk away, then she would go near them, realize something, meow at them and walk away, then she would not come close to them anymore, but if one of them came close to her, she would meow at them and pretend to want to slap them so they could go away. And now, same thing but she would in a way hiss at them but not like cats would usually do against unknown people, cats, dogs, etc... it’s more of a softer, slower and lower toned hiss. Idk what to do, she doesn’t have many problems to be around them, but when one of them comes like PERSONALLY close to her, she would go off. Idk what to do, is it because of the other cats? My orange one that is a bit territorial doesn’t seem to have an issue with them, he just ignores them and if they come close to him, he would let them do anything, my white and orange cat is less territorial but he does the same thing as the orange one, and in the end the other female plays with them and doesn’t have an issue with anyone
