A cat guy looking for some advice

Hello fellow Reddit folks.

I live with 2 cats, one is 15 years old and the other is a newly acquired kitten less than a year.

Does anyone have some tips or advice on how I can keep them from slapping the shit out of each other?

I've tried a spray bottle and that breaks them up during one, but obviously they still do it when I'm not here.

Also, how do I keep the kitten from scratching everything but her post?
