Cat won't leave under bed after move?

This is my second move with my cat. I moved in with my boyfriend this week and I expected a transition period. The last move it took my cat kyle about 4 days to really start coming out. I'm coming up on day 4.

We have a bed where the underneath has enough clearance for my cat to walk around or sit up. Every time I go to check on him, he hasn't eaten or drank. I put his bowls underneath the bed for a bit because I was concerned. Ive since moved it just out of reach of the bed so he can explore.

What I'm most concerned about is he keeps having accidents underneath the bed. I have a litter box in the room a few feet from the bed, and even took a bit of litter into my fingers and put up to his nose so he can smell it. He's peed twice underneath there, once on a backpack and once on my t-shirt I put there so he could smell something familiar.

Every time he pokes his head from the bed, he's afraid of the new surroundings and runs back underneath. Which I get. There's a dog in the house, but he is non-reactive luckily. They haven't met yet, because Kyle is definitely scared of the dog. But they both know the other exists

I'm just afraid he's getting kinda used to living underneath there? Every time I pet him, he purrs. He's even gotten kinda playful. He's stressed, he will make a sad cry meow from time to time. He paces around down there, like a lion in a cage. His fur feels fine, but his nose is dry. He's usually a demanding eater, but he's too afraid to eat.

I know it takes time for cats to adjust to a move. He's just under 3 years old and I've had him since he was a kitten. I just don't know when I should start getting concerned.

Any advice would really help right now.
